The leadership of Local 897 is committed to improve working conditions; to create a uniform system of higher wages and a better quality of work life; to protect the interests of all union brothers and sisters; to unite in one organization, regardless of religion, race, creed, color, sex, or political affiliation; to unite in solidarity to keep our Local Union strong; and to educate, train, and to continuously improve the quality of life for its members. We have 1000+ active members and over 3000 retirees all over the country that we represent at Buffalo Stamping Plant.
